In my opinion, the most important factor to consider when deciding whether or not to use Google AdSense is if you're prepared to follow their rules and regulations. This seems to be the biggest pitfall people encounter. Either they don't have enough content or their content is considered questionable by Google. In either case, it leads to rejected applications and disgruntled people. This could be very easily avoided by taking the time to read through the rules thoroughly and taking them seriously. After all, they are there for some very good reasons.
