Placement of Google AdSense Ads

When it comes to making the most out of Google AdSense there are many tips and tricks that can be offered. However, one of the most important bits of advice that you should commit to memory is where the most optimal placement for your AdSense ads is on your site. The correct placement of your Google AdSense ads will have a major impact on how successful the program will be for you.
So where exactly should you place your ads? The correct "page positioning" as it's called is, is not that difficult to figure out. You want to place your ads in the locations on your web site where your visitors will look the most frequently. These focal points are places such as the menu area on your page, in or around eye-catching pictures or graphics, and other areas of high interest.
When placing your ads near menus you should be careful not to clutter the area so much that the ads will get lost. Leave ample space between your menu, the ads, and other pictures or graphics. You'll also want to be sure not to have the color of your ad match too closely to that of the surrounding area or it may just blend in and not catch the attention of your visitors. But you also don't want to go off the other end of the scale and make your AdSense ads so bold that they look tacky and unprofessional. Avoid clashing colors or loud colors in contrast to the rest of your site.
The placement of your ads is not all that difficult to figure out. If you find that you're not getting as many clicks as you would like to, you can always move your ads around a bit and then track your clicks to see which positioning works the best. |
